Don’t Let the Cold Snap Your Supply ChainJanuary 27, 2016 Freeze Protection
Keep the chill off your freezable freight this winter with Freeze Protection from New Penn.
We are in the coldest of the winter months. It’s important to consider the potential harm that freezing temperatures can cause your cargo. If you are shipping paints, dyes, lubricants or other cold-sensitive goods, it’s imperative for your supply chain that they are kept warm during shipping.
Simply mark your bill of lading with “Protect from Freezing” and New Penn will ensure that your shipment remains above 32 degrees Fahrenheit for the entirety of its time in our care.
When your shipment is in transit, it is kept warm with our use of technically-engineered CargoQuilts®. These quilts are designed to prohibit the transference of heat or cold much like a thermos.
New Penn has also invested in a fleet of heated trailers. These trailers are equipped with externally mounted propane heaters and electric blowers for circulation of hot air throughout the trailer.
We ship Freeze Protection shipments Monday through Thursday and offer warm rooms in all of our terminals. We offer Freeze Protection service between all direct service points within our extensive network.
Visit New Penn’s Freeze Protection Services page or call 1-800-285-5000.
Keep your cargo safe from the coming cold with New Penn!
