August 14, 2013 Awards, Quest for QualityNew Penn has been honored by Logistics Management magazine in its 2013 Quest for Quality reader survey. New Penn was awarded for its performance in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Regional LTL Motor Carriers category. This is the 19th year that New Penn has been the recipient of a Quest for Quality award.
“We are pleased to have won this important endorsement of our performance,” said New Penn President, Steve Gast. “This award is a very significant measure of our service. This award makes it clear that we have delivered on our service promise of unmatched, next-day regional LTL performance. Thanks to our hard-working employees and a winning business model, New Penn remains a true leader in the industry, and we thank the Quest for Quality survey for recognizing our efforts with this year’s award.”
“What makes the Quest for Quality Awards stand out in the market is the fact that the winners are determined by the readers of Logistics Management—the buyers of logistics and transportation services who put these carriers and service providers to work around the clock and around the globe,” said Michael Levans, Group Editorial Director of Peerless Media, LLC., the publisher of Logistics Management. “And when you consider the challenging operating environment in which our nation’s transportation services providers have been operating over the past 12 months, our editorial staff agrees that walking away with a Quest for Quality Award in 2013 is nothing less than a tremendous achievement.”
For three decades, Logistics Management’s Quest for Quality Survey has been regarded as the most important measure of customer satisfaction and performance excellence in the transportation and logistics industry. The Quest for Quality awards are the gold standard for customer satisfaction and performance excellence. Logistics and supply chain decision-makers from around the country rate providers on a number of objective service metrics to select the “best of the best.” The categories of measure include on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service, equipment and operations.
